OUR PRODUCTS

PT Makmur Kusuma Lestari mainly offers a vast range of edible oil products, a fatty liquid that is physically extracted and refined from various plant sources, which results in sensorially neutral taste.

We mainly focus on supplying two kinds of edible oil: Palm Oil and Coconut Oil.

PALM OIL

One of the world’s most produced and consumed oils. Dubbed as the most affordable, production-efficient oil, it is used in a wide variety of products such as food (i.e. cooking oil, margarine, shortening, etc.), personal care and cleaning products (i.e. soap, detergent, lotion, etc.). Palm oil is currently the most affordable type of cooking oil due to its lower production cost than other oils. Other than being used as daily essentials, it can be used as a source for biofuel or biodiesel for vehicles. Given rising consumption, palm oil becomes one of the most sought-after commodities after petroleum and coal.

Product Variants

Refined, Bleached and Deodorized Palm Kernel Oil (RBDPKO)

Main product of processed crude palm kernel oil (extracted from the soft part of the palm seed), which is refined, bleached and deodorized. The appearance is yellowish

Soap, cosmetics, detergents, solid frying oil

Component

Saturated fat, Lauric acid

Palm Olein

The liquid portion of palm oil recovered after fractionation. The physical fractionation technique involves chilling the oil to low temperatures under controlled circumstances, then filtering the crystals using a membrane press.

Refined, Bleached and Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO)

Crude Palm Oil (CPO) which has undergone a process of bleaching, removal of free fatty acids and odours.

Production Process

COCONUT OIL

Coconut oils are mainly extracted from dried whole coconut (copra) using an expeller machine and then refined using cold centrifuge, which results in refined coconut oil that melts at 25°C (78°F). In warmer weather, it has pure, crystal-clear appearance, along with a smooth light texture. Our coconut oils are locally sourced from Indonesia, the no. 1 producer of coconut trees in the world. In terms of quality, Indonesia has the ideal soil and climate conditions needed to produce coconut oil with highest quality.

Coconut Fatty Acid Distillate (CFAD)

A by-product of the physical refining of coconut oil.

Soaps, detergent, lotion, cosmetics, biodiesel

Skin moisturizer, Solubility for use in liquid applications

Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO)

Vegetable oil extracted from coconut flesh through a cold-processing technology method.

Use

Cooking oil

Component

Rich in Vitamin E, Increased metabolism, Good source of antioxidants

Refined, Bleached, Deodorized (RBD) Coconut Oil

A type of fats that has undergone these complex process (refined, bleached, deodorized) before being sold commercially. The resulting product has a very bland taste, with no odour.
